Napowrimo#25 Ben and The samosa seller

Prompt : write a ballad. A ballad tells a complete story.

It was the last summer when,
After a walk me and Ben,
Saw a man selling samosas,
We thought of eating them with colas.

“Samosas, crisp and hot,
Have them with a lime pot,
Take home some for your daughter and wife,
they will get happy, for all their life.”

“How much for one? “Asked Ben,
“Just coz you both are nice men,
For you its five rupees for one,”
We bought each and had fun.

“Samosas, crisp and hot,
Have them with a lime pot,
Take home some for your daughter and wife,
they will get happy, for all their life.”

A gal walking by called the guy,
With a sweet smile she asked, why,
“Won’t you give me two for five,
Please for me can’t you revive.”

“Just coz such a nice girl, you are,
And quick I have to go very far,
Two for five, for you it is.
Take them and eat with please.”

Ben got angry and thought its lame,
“Why this favour to the dame,”
With a wink the man mockingly said,
“Get the looks like her and I will do the same.”

“Samosas, crisp and hot,
Have them with a lime pot,
Take home some for your daughter and wife,
they will get happy, for all their life.”
